Low-carb math
Thanks to the U.K. Men's Health magazine for doing the math on this one: just what is the trade off when you go low-carb, as in low carb bread, rolls, pasta, and now ketchup? Yes, carbohydrate-rich flour has been removed and replaced with flour richer in protein. But because carbohydrates and protein both have four calories per gram, whatever version you eat, you still get the same number of calories. It's all in the packaging, as they say, whether ketchup or mutual funds which, according to a recent study, actually show a great influx of money simply by renaming (i.e. repackaging) the same fund, and with no extra change at all in the actual portfolio or investment strategy
