Keeping Current
Got you by the short hairs
Naturally you have been worried about the falling sperm count being recorded in country after country. In Denmark, for instance, 25 percent of 19-year olds currently show sperm count in the sub-fertile range. So you're not Danish and don't care. But there is more bad news: the incidence of testicular cancer in Caucasian men in all developed countries has risen dramatically-and not just among champion bikers. There is the possibility of a link between low sperm counts and testicular cancer (again, the Danes head the list for high rates of both). Where does this leave you, other than clutching at…? Nobody quite knows what's going on, and nobody is yet excluding some forms of environmental toxicity as contributing factors. One thing scientists do agree on, however, is that there is a serious public health issue in the making.
